Glenn Ferguson

Glenn Ferguson is an Australian solicitor who served as President of the Law Council of Australia in 2010. He is a solicitor of the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of Queensland. He is a registered migration agent and a QLS approved mediator.

Glenn grew up in Sydney before moving to Queensland, settling on the Sunshine Coast. He commenced practice on his own account in 1995 before joining with Byron Cannon to commence Ferguson Cannon Lawyers, where he has practiced for over twelve years.

Mr Ferguson is the current President of LAWASIA, and is a former President of both the Queensland Law Society, and of the Immigration Lawyers Association of Australasia. He is also an active member of a number of legal bodies, including the Queensland College of Law, the Queensland Law Foundation, the Federal Attorney General's International Legal Services Advisory Council and the International Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

His main area of practice is immigration law and trade and export law. He has a particular interest in business and skilled migration to Australia and advising small to medium businesses in relation to all aspects of trade and export law. He works closely with the Queensland Department of State Development and Austrade and acts as a mentor with the Department of State Developments export network which assists small to medium sized businesses who are considering exporting their goods and services.

Glenn has presented papers in his areas of expertise throughout the Asia Pacific region to both legal and other professional organisations.
