Hello Eggmen. Look at yourselves. Back to me, Back to yourselves. Back to me. Sadly, you're not me. But if you had kept the awesome name "Robotnik" maybe you would be me. Look down, look up, where are you? You're aboard the Death Egg with the real Doctor Ivo Robotnik. What's in your hand? I have it. It's a master plan. Look again. The master plan is now the Chaos Emeralds. Anything is possible when you're the classic Doctor Robotnik. I'm in an Eggmobile.

Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik (also known as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, Robo-Robotnik v2.0, Robotnik Mach II and the Eggman) is a version of Dr. Ivo Robotnik from another zone. In his native universe he was defeated by the Freedom Fighters after he roboticized himself, only to survive by uploading his digital consciousness to an unfinished space station he had constructed. He was first encountered by a denizen of Mobius Prime when Dr. Ivo Robotnik of Mobius Prime was inadvertently teleported to Robo-Robotnik's alternate future universe by his own renegade creation, E.V.E.. From this encounter Robo-Robotnik learned about the Giant Borg and eventually managed to rebuild a new body for himself with pieces he acquired from it. From there he proceeded to bombard the surface of his Mobius with atomic weapons, killing his nemesis King Sonic and the entire Royal Family.

With no one left to fight, and having discovered that the Robotnik of Mobius Prime had been killed, he travelled to Mobius Prime to "fill the void" in both his life and Sonic's, assuming the role of the despotic dictator after his death. He came to be known as Dr. Eggman after his original robotic body was destroyed, and after a period of time switching through robotic bodies he was permanently de-roboticized by the Bem, becoming flesh and bone once more.

Dr. Eggman, since then, has been the main antagonist of Mobius Prime. The Zone Cops, who monitor the dimensions and make sure every zone keeps to itself, explain that the multiverse's stability depends on Sonic Prime having a Robotnik to fight.

Among Dr. Eggman's atrocities are - some are assumed given that he is alternate version of the original Robotnik:

-Standard betrayal of everyone he comes into contact with

-Exterminating 90% of the echidna population; this later nipped him in the butt when Knuckles the Echidna, in his anger, became Enerjak, who promptly destroyed almost all of Eggman's forces and the mad doctor's capital city. This extermination was done through a mixture of a brutal, Nazi-esque regime on Angel Island, the obliteration of the city of Albion, and the Egg Grapes.

-The roboticisation of his own people, rendering them immobile statues; this included the original Dr. Robotnik's family. He deliberately kept them in his poisonous city so as to make them so close to death they'd have to be roboticised or die.

-Enslavement of millions of Mobians by the Roboticiser

-Extermination of an entire village just so he could see how a cyborg army would work out

-The Egg Grapes, which sapped individuals of their life force to power his city. Played a key role in wiping the echidnas off the map.

Role in DYOS

Eggman is first seen battling Shadow the Hedgehog who seems to send him to an endless void not located on the same plane as the rest of the universe. However, this turns out to have been the work of the Hacker. The Hacker, disguised as his henchfur Voltaire, was quick to propose an alliance. He sent Eggman to Coruscant, hoping the Doctor could use his technology to sabotage the Republic's defenses and thus, make his eventual domination of the universe easier.

Eggman's plans, however, were thwarted by the Coruscantis, who could tell something wasn't right about him. He managed to escape, running into Dr. Richtoften, who did his part in taking Eggman out of the Hacker's line of sight by placing him in the asteroid fields of Alpha Centauri.

Eggman's current whereabouts are unknown, though it is likely he's planning something evil from within the cold, dark confines of space hiatus...
