Lefty's Big Book of CFC is a tome compiled by Lefty Scaevola. Part encyclopedia, part history, and part original "research", it is most notable for containing cryptic passages many regard as prophetic, and was cited twice in DYOS X.

The first prophecy

Yea, and to you I say, Beware! For when the age cometh when the sysadmin falls, you shall enter a new age of Darkness; and in this Darkness shall dwell creatures terrible, and creatures not-so-terrible-but-still-vaguely-frightening, and creatures not-terrible-at-all-actually-but-rather-good-on-toast, And from this Darkness shall emerge the Saviour, the one who Stops the leaky Faucet, Stays the wobbly Table, Flushes the public Toilet, and Turns out the Light when Leaving the Room, and when he arriveth, he shall cleanse the unclean world with his Flamethrower, and pray that he cometh in Winter, for during this time there shall be no heat for a Year, for I hath forgotten to pay the electric bills again.

Quoted by Thorvald of Lym after Thunderfall was shot by lord_joakim[1], the passage clearly alludes to the strife brought by the New Avatar Order. The 'Darkness' and 'creatures terrible' are believed to be references to the Combine emergence toward the end of the affair.

The 'Saviour' prophesized is more hotly contested. While some say he has yet to come, others insist he has already been introduced in the story[citation needed].

The second prophecy

... They will owe their victory to him, and the enemy of their enemy shall become their friend. They shall welcome him with open arms but closed eyes, espousing a power the do not understand and cannot control. Two know, but neither speak; those who speak know naught. Pray the dog is housebroken, for the damage they risk cannot be undone by mortal hands. The loathing of one will endanger them all. ...

Quoted by mythmonster2 after finding the book in his local library[2], the second prophecy is not as clear. Based on the passage, mythmonster2 believed it to foretell his rise to greatness, and consequently usurped the role of leader of Apolyton to begin a quest for revenge against the other forumers. Some analysts, however, believe the passage is a second opinion of the first prophecy[citation needed].
