WITH HIS BARE HANDS

Nikola Tesla is a Serbian Croat, inventor, mechanical engineer, and God of Electricity. He was one of the most important contributors to the birth of commercial electricity and is best known for his many revolutionary developments in the field of electromagnetism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Tesla's patents and theoretical work formed the basis of modern alternating current (AC) electric power systems, which were 42 times better and more efficient than Edison's puny "direct" current. Simply check the latest album by Australian rock bands. "AC" comes first for a reason.

Tesla gained an undeserved reputation as a "mad scientist" for insisting that science could be used for good. It should be noted that Tesla rarely became mad, although he was prone to bouts of depression after Edison killed an elephant for the lulz. To take his mind off things, Tesla began inventing a myriad of electrical gadgetry that when tallied together would have made him world supremor. But, ever the altruist, Tesla sold his inventions to feed orphans, furthering suggestions of Bolshevik sympathies.
