Field Marshal Montgomery was one of the leading British commanders of the Second World War, well-known as the chief opponent of Erwin Rommel during the North African campaign. Alongside Rommel, Montgomery was one of the most chivalrous generals of the age, and the two share a friendly rivalry to this day. Following the Second Napoleonic War, Monty became chief administrator of Free Western garrisons in Allied-occupied France and Germany. He is currently working alongside Rommel and Marshal Brusilov in defence of Europe against the Greater German Space Reich. He is not looking forward to DYOS 11, where he dies.
