Kazakhstan is a country in Eurasia, the ninth largest country in the world and the largest landlocked country, neighboured by Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and a significant part of the Caspian Sea. The capital moved in 1997 to Astana from Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest city. It is the homeland of Abay Qunanbayuli, Al-Farabi, Kanysh Satpayev, and less prestigiously Borat, but its flag has a sun and a bird which makes it intrinsically awesome. Kazakhstan is noted for the city of Baikonur and its cosmodrome.
