This article is a summary of CivGeneral's involvement in DRAW Your Own Story: At Plot's End.

POPA–SIPPA

At thread's start, the Second Galactic Civil War had been raging for twenty years. CivGeneral participated in the Liberation of Coruscant, confronting Mariko Antilles in her throne room, and with help from Nozomi overpowered her; before he could kill her, however, Tym Nightshade arrived and helped her escape the planet.[1] Following her subsequent abdication and disappearance, CivGeneral received the unconditional surrender of the Empire from acting head of state Ron Lee.[2]

To the concern of his family, he continued an obsessive hunt for Mariko,[3] resuming his mercenary activity in a bid for fresh leads. This led to friction with government authorities over allegations he had violated POPA–SIPPA.[4] While he was reluctant to get involved, he was ultimately persuaded by his mother and Dr. Galney that confronting Internet censorship was integral to finding Mariko.[5] His son Richard pulled strings to acquire a spaceship for the Brotherhood of Steel, and STARS departed to pursue one of Hanna's contacts on Geneva III.[6][7]

While the crew decrypted the document, the ship set course of Egypt II following rumours of a Jedi holocron. During transit, Galney coached CG on reviving his Force sensitivity to prepare for future encounters with Mariko.[8] Fighting through a zombie-infested temple, CG received a call from Prince Kassad, who was in the company of Delia Steel at a dig site nearby.[9] After recovering the holocron they met Delia's team outside the tomb,[10] and somewhat reluctantly agreed to help combat the Overlord Cult.[11][12][13] Returning to the dig site, CG and Ayane were separated from the group by a cave-in[14] and lured into a lightsaber duel with Darth Grievous. Escaping from a second cave-in, they regrouped with the expedition and left the planet.[15]

Seeking to avoid further POPA–SIPPA entanglements, at the advice of Hanna CivGeneral set course for Bespin. En route he was briefed on plans by Dr. Richtofen for a Force suppression device to help combat Mariko;[16] Richtofen had defected to Coruscant after Mariko began extensive purges of the Second Empire prior to her abdication.[17] During the trip, CivGeneral dreamed himself fighting and defeating Pul Wat Aa by tapping into Dark Side powers.[18] Suspecting he was succumbing to PTSD, Rebecca Chambers prescribed him medication, but suggested the dream may have greater significance.[19] Arriving at Cloud City, CG and Co. were captured by Obsidian Eclipse mercenaries who had strong-armed the station's authorities with threats to expose its non-compliance with POPA–SIPPA.[20] CG, Ayane and Hanna were interned alongside Morrigan Aensland, who had originally been recruited for the sting but who was deemed expendable; when the garrison commander learned Darth Grievous's full intentions he turned on the mercenaries, while Morrigan helped the group to escape.[21][22] During a skirmish with Eclipse troops, CG was cut off from the group and funneled into the carbonite facility.[23] A brief fight with Grievous ended with CG leaping out of the station;[24] he was rescued by Morrigan and flown back to the Hajin Mon.[25]

Data running and Agent Brown

With Grievous confirming Mariko was still alive, CivGeneral insisted on continuing the hunt, but Hanna urged him to focus on POPA–SIPPA before it completely strangled their efforts.[26] Pursuing Hanna's contact at Omega Station,[27][28] CG was recruited as a data runner by the Info Broker.[29] Ayane reluctantly agreed to allow Morrigan to serve as his partner, and even permitted an intimate relationship,[30] although CG remained defiant.[31] Completing his first delivery, he learned Omega was Mariko's last known stop before her disappearance. Further information on the powers behind POPA–SIPPA were suggested to be onboard a "data barge" named the New Moon;[32] a follow-up contract involved delivering the Fact Sphere to the barge to sabotage its archives.[33]

Arriving at the coordinates, they discovered the New Moon was in fact the replacement satellite built after the real moon was destroyed by the Gnoman Empire.[34] While CG and Morrigan delivered the sphere, Ayane led a team to hack the station's database and dump its logs; CG met Agent Brown, who planned to destroy the moon to thwart the Faceless Man's attempt to harness a power similar to Pul Wat Aa. NinjaCow64 interrupted, revealing Brown's plan involved destroying the Internet altogether;[35] As Stylesjl and the Comet Observatory team arrived, the Faceless Man addressed the group directly, inviting them to join him as privileged subordinates. Brown proposed a truce, offering to belay the Internet's destruction until after the Faceless Man was defeated, but the group refused and the agent summoned superpowers to defend himself. CivGeneral began hallucinating the Hacker and bowed out of the fight.[36]

Re-emergence of Mariko and adoption of Connie Marshall alias

Shortly after returning to the Hajin Mon, he received an offer to join the Fellowship of Myar, and was summoned by Hanna to Nova Terra.[37] The ship was ambushed en route by the Inquisitor; in a bid to hide from Mariko, CG tried to disguise himself as Faye Valentine but ended up as a Morrigan look-alike.[38] Fighting through the boarders,[39] CG encountered Mariko just as she cut down Galney. Mariko saw through the disguise, taunting him that it was a manifestation of his insecurities[40] and goading him into a fight, where Mariko proved she had recovered from her humiliation at Coruscant;[41] stoking his rage, she prompted another Hacker hallucination, and CG began tapping into Dark Side powers. Declaring he would "make a fine Sith after all," Mariko abruptly broke off the fight, revealing it had been a distraction while Tym infiltrated the ship; she planted a bomb on CG, buying time for her escape.[42]

Following the attack, Kusanagi proposed a deep-cover operation, exploiting CivGeneral's avatar change to skirt state surveillance of the Brotherhood. He was outfitted with new identity papers, adopting the alias Connie Marshall, with Morrigan serving as his aide.[43] Returning to New Port, they rescued Stylesjl and Haruhi Suzumiya from the Internet Police.[44] During a car ride to a hotel on the city outskirts, they learned Interpol was moving in on a Talon Company camp nearby. Furious over foreign interference on Republic soil, he diverted to the area; at Morrigan's coaching, CG seduced his way past an army checkpoint[45] and arrived to find the National Party Militia assaulting Interpol agents. The group joined the attack, with CG going macroscale to obliterate Interpol. In the aftermath they met up with Delia & Co., and joined them in their journey to the Andromeda Galaxy to thwart the Faceless Man's next ritual.[46][47][48]

Soon after arrival in Andromeda, the group split up.[49] CG and Morrigan discovered evidence of a Coruscanti expedition and artifacts labelled in an unknown script.[50] Venturing into a nearby cave, they discovered an abandoned vault complex and a book written in the mystery script. As they returned to the surface, CG mistook Tym Nightshade for Darth Grievous, but failed to catch him.[51] Regrouping with Stylesjl, they learned Haruhi and Thor Strindberg had been captured by Hutama;[52] engaging macroscale, CG and Morrigan stormed the base.[53] Hutama escaped, but revealed the Faceless Man had completed the Second Ritual.[54] Reconvening in the ruins, the group confronted the Faceless Man,[55] only to discover it was Vadim Kozlov in disguise.[56]

Arguing the better way to stop the Faceless Man was to dismantle POPA–SIPPA, CivGeneral abandoned the Fellowship, heading to Nova Terra in the hope of deciphering the book recovered from the vault.[57][58] Checking in at a Solitude hotel, CG finally reached breaking point with Morrigan, who revealed most of her ditzy behaviour was an act to lure people into a false sense of security, declaring she had learned "enough" about him.[59] They travelled to the Great Library the next day, where he found a mysterious book not in the system catalogue but that used the same alphabet; preliminary attempts at translation suggested the vault book was written in code. Making their way back that evening, they passed by a National Party kiosk, and at Morrigan's insistence agreed to drop in on a meeting.[60]
